About Jill

People come to me to have a portrait created for many reasons…the birth of a child, anniversaries, special holidays. But the underlying reason is to forever capture the essence of those we love, to freeze a moment in time when we feel the most joy.

Photography is not a process or vocation to me; it is a passion. I find it rewarding to bring out the unique qualities of the people I photograph while at the same time using my creative abilities to make a portrait of lasting significance.

I believe I possess the sensitivity and ingenuity to capture all the stages of your life. There is nothing else I would rather be doing.

Jill Schmid has owned and operated Forum Studio since 1992, the same year her daughter, Julia, was born. She has received numerous national and regional awards, and has been published in the Professional Photographers of America Showcase.
